Legendary Old Time Fiddler Bruce Molsky, One World Coffeehouse March 11, 2017, 8 PM
One World Coffeehouse is pleased to present legendary fiddler Bruce Molsky, Saturday, March 11, 2017, 8 PM, 59 Main St., Essex, MA. Molsky, known across the U.S. and Europe as an ambassador of American traditional old-time mountain music, will be appearing at the One World Coffeehouse with his new trio, Molsky’s Mountain Drifters. He is known for his brilliant fiddle work, but also for banjo, guitar and his distinctly resonant vocals. Mother Jones calls him “easily one of the nation’s most talented fiddlers… he transports you, geographically, historically and most of all emotionally”. NPR says “his playing is mesmerizing, transporting and best experienced live”. Molsky digs deep to transport audiences to another time and place, with his authentic feel for the Southern Appalachian songbook
Molsky’s Mountain Drifters is a trio that features Molsky, plus banjo virtuoso Allison de Groot of The Goodbye Girls, and guitarist Stash Wyslouch, one of bluegrass music’s most outstanding pickers. Bruce Molsky rarely appears on Cape Ann, so don’t miss this chance to experience some of the best in American folk music. This is sure to be an unforgettable evening at the One World Coffeehouse.
