Social Justice
As our rituals and celebrations together nurture us, we are also called and challenged to share our faith in good works – works for peace, justice, and healing.
Many of our ongoing efforts include:
- Promoting the rights of gay and lesbian people by lobbying our political leaders,
- Delivering food to those who know hunger,
- Raising awareness about domestic violence; working with HAWC,
- Mentoring single moms and lobbying for affordable housing through Wellspring,
- Promoting environmental health by recycling, using less energy, using our bikes and supporting Cape Ann Wind,
- Cooking meals for those with limited means at Open Door Pantry,
- Promoting and selling Fair Trade Coffee, and
- Promoting peace to help bring an end to war!
